Spaceship- Destroyer

Those who know me well are probably wondering where the hell the spaceships are! ...well,.. here's one of my own design. Don't mind the textures,.. I was just screwing around with them mostly.

Sci-Fi Armored Personnel Carrier

here is an APC I came up a while back. Some of the parts,.. like the turret are only proxys (place holders) One of these days,.. I'll finish this model!

Bell 406/407 Swashplate

Here is a Bell 406/407 Swashplate I did about a year ago. This is much better than the Blackhawk rotor head for two reasons: 1,) I had learned more of Modo (2.) I had an old OH-58D Tech Manual on PDF from when I worked at Ft. Hood. So, I used Photoshop to get the orthographic projections from the book, and used them as backdrops to model from.

Outer Ring- as seen from Modo

Another view of the outer ring. Added Outer Cap and hardware,.. and bearings.

Inner Ring

Support Assembly.

This was probably the most difficult part I had ever modelled at the time.
This took me several hours to get right,.. and there are some minor errors,.. but only a few people out there would ever spot them! :D
Complete Assembly

Not too shabby,.. it's still missing alot. Hardware mostly.

Exploded view!

UH-60 Blackhawk Rotorhead

 Here's a screenshot of the 3D program I use. It's called Modo 501

I should note. I didn't use any backdrop pictures to model this! I basically did it from memory, then I went back and found some pictures and used those to correct the size proportions.
This was a pretty early effort. I still learning to use this program.

It's far from perfect, but concidering this was my first attempt at Hard Surface Modelling,.. I'd say it came out ok.

Now that I've gained some skill, I should go back and re-do this model.
I can see that the spindles are too small and the bifilar is too big,.. but hey,.. like I said, I didn't use any orthographic references.

Can you spot the problem with the blades? They are not all facing the right direction. LOL. DOH! I was just learning how to use the mirror tool.

No textures.

SHTF Van Part 4

I modeled some better tires and rims. These are Michelin XML's,.. 46" HEMTT tires in correct scale.

SHTF Part 2,.. or is it 3?

This thing is becoming a beast,... literally. I keep adding on to it.

Yep,.. It's too big. My Crown Vic parked next to looks tiny! Gonna have to work on the scale

SHTF Van in Serejevo

Here's the SHTF Van in Serejevo,.... My blending skills are almost there.

SHTF Van Part 1

I created this model a year or so ago,.. not very detailed at this point. The polygons are mostly un-subdivided, so it looks a bit blocky.
I gave it just enough detail,.. but more to come.

I like the proportions,.. but, maybe it's a bit big. I try to build models to actual scale. Right now, this is a monster truck!
Like the background? It's just a picture of beat op concrete.

Mech Photochops

AT-ST in the Old West.
My first composite. Rendered the AT-ST in Modo then copied into the picture. Changed the color a bit, fixed some shadows.

Mech in Snow.I modeled this mech. It has almost no details.

I had an idea of what I wanted to do. A Old Mech left in the snow... makes you wonder how it got there and how long has it been sitting there?... maybe time will tell.

Here I am,...

I figured I'd set this up as a place to show my 3D work and some Photoshop stuff.... and possibly some other ramblings.
